I am delighted to share a short version of my full Clore Research paper, shortly to be published on the Clore Leadership website.
As part of a research award granted to me in 2022, I carried out in-depth interviews with a number Clore fellows from a range of racial backgrounds, neurodivergent profiles, disability and sexuality to see how coaching has affected them and their work. I wanted to explore how coaching can empower individuals from different backgrounds to develop leadership styles that break free from the traditional binary choices of assimilation or segregation. To see how coaching can help build confidence and social connections, and networks that make leaders more effective.
The participants were insightful, forthright and generous with their observations. What I heard shocked, delighted and moved me. In writing up the interviews, I worked hard to do their words justice. This is a snapshot of the key themes that emerged from the 180+ pages of transcripts that were generated. More detail will be available in the full report.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the contributors for their generosity and candour and a massive thanks to Professor Helen Higson for guiding me through the maze of academia to get this far!
BOOK NOW for a free webinar on Tuesday 24th October at 5pm for a chance to discuss the findings and find out just what needs to happen for sectoral transformation.
